Has been drumming since 1981 and teaching since 1987. Influences/studied with Steve Smith, Glen Velez, Bill Stewart, Jim Chapin, Jeff Hamilton, Dennis Rogers, Tom Morgan, and Dylan Bassett. BA from Washburn U. and Teaches at the Topeka store. Currently not in a band, but makes much music making TreeHouse drums and studying/teaching ethnic handdrumming. Has been in various school bands, pit/musical dates, and the jazz trio, Slartibartfast. Likes Jazz, Funk, Latin and Acappella. He enjoys teaching folks who want to learn. He likes to come up with alternative ways to say the same thing so the material can fit everyone.
