DESCRIPTION
Check out this vintage Gretsch Round Badge 7" deep x 14" diameter snare drum! Per its "Skinny Sticks" badge variation, this drum was likely manufactured in the 1950s or early 1960s and features a stained finish, chrome hardware, internal muffler, and calfskin batter head. The shell is structurally sound and in-round with no signs of warpage or moisture exposure. Bearing edges are in good shape with the exception of one significant ding on the reso side (see closeup pics). The drum was refinished by one of its previous owners, so the color is not original, and there are several parts that are also not original, including the new Micro Sensitive Strainer, butt, at least one backing screw, and several tension rods. Note also that the grommet that holds the badge in place was bent during the refinishing process resulting in a relatively loose badge that can be rotated.

As an instrument with decades of use and handling, you should also expect to find other typical, age-appropriate signs of wear and tear including small scuffs, scratches, and dings, minor corrosion on some of the hardware, dust, fingerprints, and an extra hole from where the original butt was replaced. Cosmetic blemishes aside, this drum is 100% fully functional and still sounds fantastic!
