DESCRIPTION
This is a used Tama Superstar 4-pc drumset that recently came into our shop on trade. Included are 8x12" and 9x13" mounted toms, a 16x16" floor tom with legs, and a 14x22" bass drum with spurs and an Omni-Sphere double tom mount. All drums were manufactured between 1982 and 1986 (per their serial numbers) and feature birch shells, Cherry Wine gloss finish, and chrome hardware. They sound amazing, and are ready to play right out of the box!
As a previously owned drumset with four decades of use, expect lots of age-appropriate scratches and dings on the shell exteriors and scuffs and light corrosion on some of the hardware. That said, the shells are structurally sound and in-round with no ply separation, the interiors are mostly clean (some scratches on the inside of the bass drum), and the bearing edges are smooth. All hardware, mounts, and brackets are in very good, fully functioning condition, and all threaded components turn smoothly. More specific details about each individual drum can be found below.

8x12" MOUNTED TOM
- Badge number 82-25841 (Manufactured in 1982).
- Badge is secure. Badge is located on the player's side of the shell.
- Tom mounting bracket is in great shape and holds firmly.
- Rims, lugs, and backing screws appear to be original.
- Red-stained interior is blemish free and very clean.
- Bearing edges are red-stained like the interior. They are smooth and in very good shape.
- Heads are a used Remo Pinstripe on the batter side and a used Tama 250 Hazy clear on the reso side.
9x13" MOUNTED TOM
- Badge number 15404968 (Manufactured in 1986).
- Badge is lifting around the edges, especially at the bottom.
- Tom mounting bracket is in great shape and holds firmly.
- Rims, lugs, and backing screws appear to be original.
- Red-stained interior is blemish free and very clean.
- Bearing edges are un-stained natural wood color. They are smooth and in very good shape.
- Heads are a used Remo Pinstripe on the batter side and a used Remo C.S. Blackdot on the reso side.
16x16" FLOOR TOM with LEGS
- Badge number 13600033 (Manufactured in 1985).
- Badge is secure.
- Leg brackets are in great shape and hold firmly.
- Rims, lugs, and backing screws appear to be original.
- Red-stained interior is blemish free and very clean.
- Bearing edges are un-stained natural wood color. They are smooth and in very good shape.
- Heads are a used Remo Pinstripe on the batter side and a used Remo Clear Ambassador on the reso side.
14x22" BASS DRUM with SPURS and OMNI-SPHERE DOUBLE TOM MOUNT
- Badge number 83-00680 (Manufactured in 1983).
- Badge is secure.
- Spur mounting brackets and tom arm bracket are in great shape and hold firmly.
- Matching audience-side wood hoop, T-rods, and claws appear to be original.
- Batter-side hoop has been replaced with a metal hoop. T-rods and claws have also been replaced with non-Tama parts.
- Lugs and backing screws appear to be original on all but one lug. The one exception is a non-Tama replacement lug with replacement backing screws located on the bottom of the drum (see closeup photo).
- Red-stained interior has some scratches, and the previous owner put a collection of Tama stickers on the interior, which we have left in place (see closeup photos).
- Bearing edges are red-stained like the interior. They are smooth and in very good shape.
- Omni-Sphere double tom mount is in very good condition and holds firmly. Does not include any memory locks.
- Heads are a used Remo C.S. Blackdot on the batter side and a used Tama smooth white logo head on the audience side.
