DESCRIPTION
This is a very clean vintage Yamaha Turbo Tour Custom 8-pc drumset that recently came into our shop on trade. Manufactured in the 1980s, these drums were primarily set up and played at home, and as a result, are extremely nice for being nearly 40 years old. There are light scuffs, scratches, and dings here and there on the red lacquered exteriors, but nothing major and certainly nothing that would affect sound or functionality. Interiors are clean, all shells are in-round, bearing edges are smooth, and chrome hardware is in good shape. Some of the included stands have gotten a bit stiff over time - as is typical of older Yamaha hardware - but everything functions as it should. Note that the rubber tips on the snare basket are missing. All heads are used with lots of stick marks, but they still have some life remaining.

Included are 8x8, 10x10, 10x12, 12x14, and 14x16 mounted toms, a 6.5x14 matching snare drum, and two 16x22 bass drums (all sizes are depth x diameter in inches). See bulleted list below for specific models and serial numbers. Also included are Yamaha period-correct snare drum stand, double-braced stand with tom arm (for floor tom), and two double-tom arms (for mounted toms).

Finally, although not included with this listing because of the resulting dramatic increase in shipping cost, we do have a very nice set of used cases that fit these Yamaha drums (see our last photo). These cases are unbranded, molded gray plastic, with black straps and handles. They have scuffs/scratches and are a bit dirty, but they are in great overall condition and all straps and handles are secure, intact, and fully functional. There are three 12" cases (for the 8", 10", and 12" toms), two 14" cases (for the 14" tom and snare drum), one 16" case (for the 16" tom), and two 22" bass drum cases (for the two 22" kick drums). Note that several of the cases are oversized for their corresponding drums. If you are interested in purchasing these cases (either with the drums or separately), please don't hesitate to contact us.
