DESCRIPTION
For many years, the original owner of Vaughncraft allowed his employees after-hours access to the shop equipment as long as they paid for their own wood. One such employee, Mr. Guerrero, took advantage of this opportunity and built some really beautiful steam-bent solid 1-ply drums under the name "Guerrero Drum Co." This birdseye maple 7x14 snare drum is one of the instruments he created. Manufactured in 2007, this amazing-sounding snare features not only the solid 1-ply birdseye maple shell, but also matching birdseye maple re-rings, brass tube lugs and tension rods, diecast hoops, double 45-degree bearing edges, a Trick multistep strainer and butt, properly cut snare beds, 16-strand Puresound snare wires, and recently replaced Evans heads.
As far as condition is concerned, this drum is a 9.5 out of 10. There are no notable dings or scratches, the bearing edges are smooth, the interior is spotless, and all of the hardware is super clean and functions perfectly. The only thing differentiating this instrument from a brand-new one would be a few very light surface scuffs (nothing that shows up in photos), a couple of fingerprints, and possibly a bit of light dust here and there. Please note that we plan to display this drum at our bricks-and-mortar shop, so depending on how quickly it sells, it might also accumulate some light stick marks on the batter head before it is shipped.
