DESCRIPTION
This is a gently used pair of Mapex Saturn Pro Series mounted floor toms with Mapex double-tom stand. Measuring 11x14" and 13x16" (depth x diameter), these drums were manufactured in the early 2000s and feature a Gold Fade lacquered finish, 6-ply 5.1mm Maple over Walnut shells, I.T.S. Isolated Tom System mounting brackets, 2.3mm Mapex PowerHoops, and chrome hardware. As previously owned and played instruments over two decades old, you should expect to find typical signs of handling, use, and storage including a few surface scuffs, scratches, and dings (the most notable of which is on the 14-inch tom under one of the badges), dust, fingerprints, and stick marks on the heads (see closeup photos for indicative examples). Normal cosmetic wear aside, both of these drums are in very good, fully functional condition, the bearing edges are smooth, they're in-round with no signs of moisture exposure, and they sound great!
Please note that the included Mapex stand, although also fully functional and in good condition, has had a missing rivet in one of the ball-joint clamps replaced with a screw and non-slip nylon nut (see photo). It also has a black sticker below the center tightening joint that we've decided to leave in place.
