DESCRIPTION
This is a gently used 2021 model ESP LTD B-205SM 5-string electric bass (serial number IW21100306, manufacturer's part number LB205SMSTBLKS, made in Indonesia) that recently came into our shop on trade. It features a maple top with See Thru Black Satin finish, ash body, bolt-on 5-piece maple/rosewood neck with Thin U profile, 350mm radius rosewood fingerboard, SB-5N neck and SB-5B bridge humbuckers, active 3-band EQ, LTD BB-605 string-through bridge, and black nickel hardware. This bass is all original with the exception of the strap buttons, which have been replaced (more on that below). It is 100% fully functional and plays/sounds fantastic. Weight is right at 9 Lbs. 3 oz.
As a previously owned and played instrument, you should expect typical, age-appropriate signs of use and some small cosmetic blemishes. These blemishes include minor surface scuffs and scratches, a small ding on the point of the headstock, some sort of mildly sticky residue that has collected lint around the pickups, what appears to be small red and yellow paint droplets on the back/lower bout, a couple of screwdriver marks around the battery cover plate, a bit of tarnish on the hardware, and general dust and fingerprints here and there. Please inspect our closeup photos for indicative examples.
Note that the original strap buttons were at some point replaced with a DiMarzio Clip-Lock strap system, which is still installed and included with this listing. The listing also includes the original ESP-branded fitted hardshell case (in excellent condition) and free shipping within the continental United States.
