DESCRIPTION
This is a uniquely large, great-sounding ride cymbal from Bosphorus. It has a dry, clean stick attack, dark overtones, and plenty of low wash to give it lots of body. A perfect choice for jazz players. This cymbal, like many of the Master Vintage rides, is unique in that is doesn't have the typical "dead" zone in the area just below the edge of the bell. Instead, this region of the cymbal offers a usable crash that can add spice and punctuation to your ride patterns. The other cool feature of most of the Master Vintage series rides is that you rarely, if ever, lose note articulation. Even immediately after a vigorous crash on the edge of this huge cymbal, the next quarter note is present and defined. A superb and highly sought-after attribute in a great jazz ride cymbal. Check out the short demo video below for a better idea of how this cymbal sounds (played with a Vic Firth SD10 wood-tip stick, and recorded on an ADK A-51 Type III condenser mic).
Keep in mind that this cymbal has been opened and demo-ed, so expect to find a few minor stick marks and possibly a few fingerprints here and there. That being said, we still consider it new. It has never been sold and comes with full factory warranty. Normally, this cymbal lists for $874, but we've got it marked at just $480!
Please contact us with any questions or to request additional photos. And remember, this cymbal ships FREE within the continental United States. Buyers outside the U.S. should message us for a shipping quote prior to purchase.
