Considering purchasing a Gift Certificate or an eGift Card? Here's how they work.
Supersonic Music offers two types of gift cards: A regular Gift Certificate is for use in-person at one of our bricks-and-mortar stores in Topeka and/or Lawrence, Kansas. An eGift Card is specifically for use in our Online Store.

- Gift Certificates are purchased online, but they are for use exclusively in-person in either one of our bricks-and-mortar stores in Topeka and/or Lawrence, Kansas. They cannot be used to make purchases in our Online Store.
- Gift Certificates are available in dollar amounts from $10.00 to $2,000.00.
- When you purchase a Gift Certificate online, you will receive a purchase confirmation email that includes an order number and the dollar amount you selected for the Gift Certificate.
REDEEMING a Gift Certificate
- To redeem a Gift Certificate, please bring in and show us your order confirmation email the next time you're in one of our stores. We will record some information (name, purchase date, order number, amount, etc.) then issue you a standard paper Gift Certificate (the order confirmation email is not directly redeemable).
- The Gift Certificate can be made out to any name you like (normally this is the recipient) and is used in-person just like dollar bills to buy anything we have available in either of our two stores.
- Paper Gift Certificates are typically valid for one year from the date of issuance and can be spent a few dollars at a time in any dollar amount up to the total amount available. In other words, they don't have to be used all at once. If you have a $100 Gift Certificate, it can be spent 5 or 10 bucks at a time until the balance is depleted.
If you have any other questions about Gift Certificates, please contact Online Sales. We'll be happy to help!
PURCHASING an eGift Card
REDEEMING an eGift Card
If you have any other questions about eGift Cards, or if you would like to transfer your eGift Card to a regular Gift Card for use in one of our physical stores, please contact Online Sales. We'll be happy to help!
- eGift Cards are purchased online and are specifically for use in our Online Store. They cannot be used to make purchases in either of our bricks-and-mortar stores.
- eGift Cards are available in dollar amounts from $10.00 to $2,000.00.
- When purchasing an eGift Card online, you will be asked to specify a recipient. You will also fill in personal information, select shipping preference, and choose a method of payment. Keep in mind that eGift Cards are delivered via email, so the the shipping preference you choose is not important.
- Upon completion of the purchase, you will receive a purchase confirmation email that includes an order number, the recipient's name, and the dollar amount you selected for the eGift Card. Your recipient will receive a separate email with the dollar amount, a redemption code, and instructions on how to redeem their eGift Card.
REDEEMING an eGift Card
- To redeem an eGift Card, the recipient simply shops in our Online Store as they normally would, placing items they wish to purchase in the shopping cart. When they're finished shopping, they click the Checkout button.
- As part of the checkout process, they'll fill in personal information, select shipping preferences, and choose a method of payment. In the method of payment section, there is a space to fill in their eGift Card redemption code and apply it to the purchase. If the dollar amount on their eGift Card is sufficient to cover the entire amount, then they don't have to enter another form of payment. If not, they'll be asked to give credit card or PayPal info to cover the rest.
- Just like regular Gift Cards, eGift Cards can be spent a few dollars at a time in any dollar amount up to the total amount available. In other words, they don't have to be used all at once. If you have a $100 eGift Card, it can be spent 5 or 10 bucks at a time. The redemption code has no expiration date and will remain valid until the entire amount is depleted.
- If you have more than one eGift Card, please keep in mind that only one redemption code can be used at a time. You cannot combine the values of two or more eGift Cards on one purchase.
If you have any other questions about eGift Cards, or if you would like to transfer your eGift Card to a regular Gift Card for use in one of our physical stores, please contact Online Sales. We'll be happy to help!
