DESCRIPTION
This is an early-1960s Ludwig 3-piece drumset in White Marine Pearl with pre-serial number Keystone badges. This drumset recently came into our shop on trade and is in very good, fully functioning condition. Includes 9x13 mounted tom, 16x16 floor tom with legs, and 12x22 bass drum with rail mount and cymbal arm. Cymbals and other hardware pictured are not included with this listing but are for sale. Please contact us for pricing and availability. Also note that we have a pre-serial early-60s "Super Ludwig" 5x14 snare drum for sale in our shop, and we would be happy to put together a package price for anyone wanting to add a period-correct snare drum to this drumset!

Specific condition details of each of the three drums individually are listed below. Feel free to reach out with any additional questions or to request additional photos. 9x13 Mounted Tom

Drum is in-round and fitted with old WeatherMaster coated heads that show a lot of wear.
Pre-serial Keystone badge is clean and secure.
Interior is painted white and is clean. There is no date stamp.
Bearing edges are in good condition with only minor rough spots (typical of this era).
Wrap is clean with only small age-appropriate surface scuffs and scratches. No serious dings or rash. There is a bit of yellowing visible when the heads are removed. Seam is secure, but there is some lift/separation at both bearing edges (see closeup pic).
Hardware has age-appropriate scuffs, scratches, and very mild pitting here and there, but is otherwise quite clean for its age. One of the hoops has a small dented/damaged area (see closeup pic). All threaded components and interior muffler function as designed.

16x16 Floor Tom with Legs

Drum is in-round and fitted with old WeatherMaster smooth/uncoated heads that show a lot of wear.
Pre-serial Keystone badge is clean and secure.
Interior is painted white and has yellowed a bit over time. There is no date stamp.
Bearing edges are in good condition with only minor rough spots (typical of this era). There is one small area of minor ply separation on the batter side (see closeup pic). There is one ding on the reso side that appears to have been from the factory (see closeup pic).
Wrap is clean with only small age-appropriate surface scuffs and scratches. No serious dings or rash. There is a bit of yellowing visible when the heads are removed. Seam is secure.

12x22 Bass Drum with Rail Mount and Cymbal Arm

Interior is unpainted bare wood. There is no date stamp.

Bearing edges are in good condition with only minor rough spots (typical of this era).
Wrap is clean with only small age-appropriate surface scuffs and scratches. No serious dings or rash. There is a bit of yellowing visible when the heads are removed. Seam is secure.
Hardware has age-appropriate scuffs, scratches, and very mild pitting here and there, but is otherwise quite clean for its age. All threaded components, mounts, leg brackets, etc. function as designed.
Wood hoops are in-round and in good shape. There are some typically scuffed spots where the paint is rubbed off under the claws. Inlays are secure, but there is one small area where the inlay has spread apart from the staple (see closeup pic).
