DESCRIPTION
This is a Gretsch USA 3-pc drumset that recently came into our shop on trade. This kit is in very good "players" condition and features three Gretsch USA shells from three different eras (note the varied interior labels and serial numbers and the two different badge designs). These drums were professionally re-wrapped to match in Teal Glass Glitter, and all shells are in good condition with clean bearing edges, gray painted interiors, original badges, and original factory decals still in place. Because of their varying ages, many of the small bits are no longer original (backing screws, some tension rods, washers, etc). Black painted hoops are structurally sound and likely not original. Note the two small holes at the bottom of each hoop. Spurs were replaced at some point with a more convenient and functional folding style. Expect other typical signs of age-appropriate handling and use, including light scuffs on the finish and hardware, minor tarnish on some of the chrome, stick marks on the heads, paint dings and chips on the wood hoops, and some light dust, dirt, and fingerprints here and there.
Normal cosmetic wear aside, this drumset is 100% fully functional, looks great, sounds fantastic, and is ready to rock-and-roll right out of the box! Includes 8x12" mounted tom, 16x16" floor tom with Gretsch legs, and 14x22" bass drum with Gretsch single tom arm. Currently fitted with Remo Coated Emperors on the tom batters, Remo Coated Ambassadors on the tom resos, an Aquarian Super Kick II on the bass batter, and a white coated/ported Gretsch logo head on the bass audience side. All heads are used but in nice condition with plenty of life left.
